I have called this section 'The Leicester Cufflins' merely to break up what would have been a very large table although it will be appreciated that it is still part of the Anstey Cufflins which in turn is part of the main family of Cufflins even if all of the gaps are not quite filled.
Henry Cufflin married Elizabeth Baum, who was the daughter of Edward Baum and Hannah Roddle, at Anstey on the 27th Nov. 1843. Henry and Elizabeth & the two witnesses to the marriage, John and Sophia Baum, all signed the register by making their mark but six years later Henry signed his own name as a witness to the wedding of Thomas Hunt & Frances Baum in 1849.
By the time of the 1851 Census they were living at Cooks Yard, Humberstone Gate, Leicester with their two sons, John aged three and Edward aged one. Their first son, William Edward was baptised in 1843 and died in the same year. It would appear that he was named after his grandparents, William Cufflin and Edward Baum but the names have since been carried on with two other sons, Edward 1850 and William 1852.
Henry died in 1916 at the age of ninety-two having been a widower for thirty-eight years.
